BALI Construction’s Movember Fundraising Progress

There are only ten more days left in November to help raise money for men’s health through The The Movember Foundation.

The money raised by Movember is used to fund over 1,000 programs focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.

 

By growing mustaches and taking the 30-day move challenge during November, we bring awareness to these important men’s health issues.

The BALI Construction Movember team has raised $650 so far as a team. With your help we can get to $800!

The Bay Area as a whole has raised $447,500!  as of November 20th.

The U.S. Construction Industry has raised $22,000! Check out BALI Construction at #6.

Men’s Health Awareness: Mustache November aka “Movember”

November has become known as “Movember” over the last decade or so to many of us. If you combine mustache with November, you get Movember.

This term was created by The Movember Foundation.

The Movember Foundation is a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives. Since 2003, millions have joined the men’s health movement, raising $650 million and funding over 1,000 programs focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.” Here is information on their funding strategy.

Throughout the month of November, there are great ways for us to raise awareness and fundraise for men’s health issues for The Movember Foundation.

The majority of BALI Construction’s employees are men, so we really thought it was a great idea for us to participate in Movember!

To partipate in Movember, we have created a fundraising team . Also, the men of BALI Construction are growing mustaches for 30 days to raise awareness and be walking, talking billboards for men’s health. The women of BALI Construction are taking the MOVE challenge: moving for at least 30 minutes every day for the 30 days of Movember.

Check our Facebook and Instagram pages for photo updates of the BALI Construction men with their mustaches. Be on the look out for a Tom Selleck mustache and maybe even a handlebar mustache. The guys are having fun growing their mustaches for Movember! For many of them, this is their first mustache ever.

With all of the national days and months that exist, most are easily missed. (National Sourdough Bread Day, anyone?) There are so many silly days that seem like they were created by companies to increase sales. And then there are the national months that hold more significance.

 

Despite its importance, National Stress Awareness Month is one that gets less attention. April is the perfect time to discuss our stress levels and bring awareness on the subject to our peers.

 

A lot of companies have a corporate wellness program in place, but stress is not a hot topic.
