Project Superintendent

Position Summary

We are looking for a Project Superintendent to come work for us. Bali Construction is a rapidly growing commercial general contracting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience with all facets of the general contractor world. We challenge ourselves to provide the most innovative and cutting edge design that is available while making a bigger name for ourselves. We want a rock star that is up to the challenge.

There is a lot of opportunity at Bali Construction for a Project Superintendent that is willing to learn on the job and take advantage of the growth possibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage subcontractor’s scopes to avoid change orders
  2. Procore- Learn and use this program 
  3. Assist Project Manager in preparing for OAC meetings
  4. Complete meeting minutes in the approved format and execute action items 
  5. Keep a current running set of red-lines to be easily turned in for project close out
  6. Collect (from subcontractors) and maintain all MEP permits through final signatures
  7. Track potential change orders for client and subcontractors and report approve/not approved
  8. Perform safety meetings
  9. Fill out daily reports on the approved excel template
  10. Put together weekly updates and photos to send to client
  11. Prepare, send out and maintain schedule, send to subcontractors, have current schedule at all OAC meetings
  12. Collect bids from subs when necessary and turn in to Project Managers 
  13. Create solutions when presented with challenges
  14. Ability to learn from and help others learn from you
  15. Provide innovative ideas to allow business functions to operate more effectively and efficiently

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Requirements: 

  1. Must be competent in Gmail, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  2. Strong verbal, written, leadership and interpersonal skills

Project Manager

Position Summary
We are looking for a project manager to come work for us. Bali Construction is a rapidly growing commercial general contracting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience with all facets of the general contractor world. We challenge ourselves to provide the most innovative and cutting edge design that is available while making a bigger name for ourselves. We want a rock star that is up to the challenge.

Project Managers have responsibilities consistent with tasks generally assigned by Kevin, the Owner of the company. The Company may change your responsibilities, duties, work location, or other aspects of your employment from time to time, at its discretion. As a Project Manager, you will be expected to manage your assigned job duties in order to contribute to the economic and professional success of the Company and its members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Estimate a wide range of projects ranging from high end residential improvements to ground up commercial construction
  2. Develop detailed means and methods estimates; Obtain pricing for subcontractor bids
  3. Outsource subcontractor services and material purchases competitively
  4. Manage project teams
  5. Communicate with owners, architects, subcontractors and management team and ensure client satisfaction
  6. Lead kick-off meetings and team planning sessions
  7. Provide pre-construction services including: Reviewing proposed designs for constructability, value-engineering, contract negotiations, estimating
  8. Procure all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete construction or coordinate procurement through foreman/superintendent
  9. Create, update, and enforce project schedules
  10. Manage project records and documents
  11. Manage project cost, change orders, building permits, submittals and all other necessary project documents
  12. Physically inspect projects to monitor progress and compliance with project standards
  13. Create solutions when presented with challenges
  14. Ability to learn from and help others learn from you
  15. Provide innovative ideas to allow business functions to operate more effectively and efficiently

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Requirements: 
  1. Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Construction Management or Architecture
  2. Strong verbal, written, leadership and interpersonal skills
  3. Competent and proficient in (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Project)
