This tech office space is located in the SOMA district in San Francisco, CA. It is home for Fanatics, the leading online retailer for officially licensed sports merchandise. We took an old auto body shop and made it an up to date tech space.
To begin, we demolished the entire space. We sandblasted all the exposed wood and metal trusses to get the building back to looking like the original. We wanted to keep the look and feel of an old industrial building. We used the existing metal trusses from when this used to be an old manufacturing plant.
We installed polished concrete flooring. We created an open floor plan for the client and built 5 offices/conference rooms. We added a 2,000 sq ft second floor mezzanine with half glass. The half glass allows for views of the open floor plan below. Since the space has an open floor plan, the conference rooms were created to allow for some privacy.
The industrial metal stairs really tie everything into the space. All the ceilings are exposed, so we installed an industrial fan made by The Big Ass Fan Company. We also designed a cooling server room.
This office space is protected by a state of the art locking system. We also added 4 ADA bathrooms.
